Privacy

The short version.

This policy covers the 1bb.ai website and the 1BB app at app.1bb.ai, both run by 1Business Box Innovations Inc. in Markham, Ontario. It's written in plain language, on purpose. The rule behind all of it: your data is yours, we read only what the job needs, and nothing spends, emails or goes public without your Approve.

The website and waitlist

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, the time you joined and which site you joined from. To keep the form from being abused, we briefly look at the IP address a request came from; we don't store it with your email. We send you one confirmation email when you join, and one invite when your founding batch opens. No newsletter, no drip campaign, and we never sell or share your email.

The website doesn't use advertising cookies. Some small preferences may be kept in your own browser so the site works smoothly; they never leave your device.

What the app stores

When you use the 1BB app, we store what's needed to run your marketing crew:

  • Your account — your email address (used to sign in with a magic link) and which businesses you belong to.
  • Your business profile and “brain” — what you tell 1BB in the onboarding interview: your business, goals, voice and budget. If you give us your website, 1BB also reads its public pages during setup and keeps a short summary of what your business offers.
  • Work the crew produces — content drafts, reports, digests, approvals and what you decided on each.
  • Your marketing data and contacts — daily metrics from the accounts you connect, and your contacts: the people who reach out through your forms, where they came from, their consent and their history with you. 1BB is where your contacts live.
  • Business email — if you set up a 1BB business inbox, the messages sent to and from it.
  • Connection details — which accounts are connected, their status, and the access needed to read them (see below).
  • Phone notifications — if you turn them on, the push subscription your browser gives us.

Accounts you connect

In the app's Connector you can link accounts like Google Analytics, Meta Ads, Shopify, Stripe and GoHighLevel. You approve each one on that provider's own screen, and you can disconnect it in 1BB or revoke it from the provider at any time. We ask for read-only access wherever the provider offers it, and we use what we read only to show it to you and to let your crew do the work you've asked for.

Google (Google Analytics)

If you connect Google Analytics, 1BB reads your website traffic reports (visitors, sessions, traffic sources and conversions) with read-only access. We use this data only to show your real traffic in your dashboard and reports, and to inform the crew's recommendations to you. We don't change anything in your Google account, we don't sell this data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to train AI models. People at 1BB don't read it except with your permission, for security reasons, or where the law requires.

1BB's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads)

If you connect Meta Ads, 1BB reads your ad accounts' performance — spend, impressions, clicks, leads and cost per result — with read-only access. We use it to show your ad results and to spot problems like rising costs or tired creative, so the crew can write proposals for you. 1BB cannot create, change or pause your ads or spend your money. You make any changes yourself in Meta Ads Manager. If you also connect a Facebook Page or Instagram account for social posting, 1BB publishes only the posts you approved.

Shopify, Stripe and GoHighLevel

Shopify and Stripe are used read-only to count your orders and payments as revenue. GoHighLevel runs the publishing workspace we set up for your business when you approve your marketing brain: it publishes the blog posts and social posts you approve, and hosts website forms that send new enquiries to the app. Your contacts are kept in 1BB — we don't copy them into GoHighLevel.

How we use AI

Your crew runs on AI models. To write content, reports and recommendations, relevant parts of your business data are sent to AI providers (such as Anthropic for text and ApiMart for images and video) only to produce the work you see. We don't use your data, or anything from your connected accounts, to train AI models.

Who else handles your data

We use a small set of service providers to run 1BB, each only for its job: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (file storage for generated images and video), Resend and AgentMail (sending and receiving email), GoHighLevel (publishing workspace and website forms), plus the AI providers above. Your data may be stored or processed in Canada, the United States or other countries where these providers operate. We never sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else unless you ask us to or the law requires it.

How we protect it

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access tokens and API keys for connected accounts are encrypted before they're stored, and the app never shows them back in full. Your business's data is walled off from every other business on 1BB, and only people you add to your business can see it.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. Cancelling doesn't delete it automatically, so you can come back or take it with you. You can ask for a copy any time, and you can ask us to delete your data, or just the data from one connected account. See how to delete your data.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, take a copy of it, or have it deleted. Email hello@1bb.ai and we'll respond within 30 days. We handle personal information under Canadian privacy and anti-spam law (PIPEDA and CASL). If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes and contact
